A ROUGES gallery (photo compilation of arrested persons) of the Sta. Ana Police Precinct led investigators to arrest a suspected thief.
Police also recovered the alleged stolen items from a student who lost her bag inside an Internet cafe in Purok 1, Barangay Isla Verde last Wednesday evening.
Berto Cuamay, alias ‘Bebot’, 21, resident of Purok 2, of the said barangay was slapped with theft charge.
In her complaint, Mariechar Acedo, 22, resident of Lawaan Street, Barangay Sto Niño, Tugbok said she was using a computer in the Internet cafe around 6 p.m. when Cuamay, who sat beside her, allegedly grabbed her shoulder bag before running away.

The victim identified him from the archived photos at the precinct which became the basis for the police to arrest the suspect. They recovered a brown handbag which contained Acedo’s cellphone charger, umbrella, a pink pouch, ATM cards, black eyeglasses, a white coin purse and a make-up kit.
