The Davao City Water District has scheduled a water service interruption from 9 p.m. of Feb. 15 until 3 a.m. of Feb. 16. The water cut will affect the road going to Punta Dumalag, San Isidro Village, Gawad Kalinga, and Punta Dumalag in Matina Aplaya.
The engineering and construction crew will interconnect the existing 4-inch diameter polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipeline to the existing 10-inch diameter mortar line coated steel pipe (MLCSP) for the third phase of DCWD’s improvement project at Matina Crossing to Matina Aplaya. Completion of the said project will help increase water pressure in the area.
DCWD acting general manager Edwin V. Regalado appealed for the understanding and cooperation of affected customers and likewise advises them to store enough water prior to the scheduled water interruptions. Water supply may be restored earlier if work goes smoothly or later if unforeseen problems arise.
The public may call the DCWD trunk line at 221-9400 and press “1” on their phone dial to listen to the latest daily water updates, or contact its call center through the 24-hour hotline 221-9412 or 0927-7988966 for updates, complaints, queries and other matters pertaining to DCWD services.
