Lady dentist loses P1-M to burglar

A lady dentist lost at least P1 million in cash and belongings after a burglar ransacked her room while she was taking a bath on Monday in Las Terrazas Subdivision in Ma-a, Talomo District.

Dr. Socorro Osterdad told police that when she came out of the shower around 5:30 a.m., she noticed that her things were already in disarray.

She said her handbag was stolen, which contained expensive jewelry such as diamond rings, necklace, and pendants. She said her money worth P100,000 and checkbook were also missing.

She immediately called for police assistance.

Based on the investigation, the robber entered the house through the sliding window of the house by using sharp tool to pick the lock and exited on the same window. Police discovered some documents scattered at the back of her house.

On the other hand, her neighbor also reported that an unidentified person went inside their house and took two bottles of mineral water. Investigators are still conducting a follow-up operation.
