Teams Monterey Bulls and Magnolia Fresh Chicken improved their respective team standings with contrasting wins, Monday night in the San Miguel Purefoods Basketball Club 2012 1st Conference at the Montana gym.
The Monterey Bulls improved to a 2-2 win-loss mark in Bracket B after beating MCF, 80-69 led by Marc Serapio’s 25 points. He was backed by Miko Noel and JC Salong who added 21 and 12 baskets, respectively that counter the pair of Jim Carpio and Rob Moreno who finished with 23 and 17 makers, in that order on a losing effort for MCF.
MCF dropped to 1-3.
Magnolia Fresh Chicken resgistered its third win in four matches on a 67-64 win over Batang Red Horse Beer in Bracket A.
Spritely guard TJ Dorotan and Peter Eguia finished with 20 and 14 points, respectively while veteran playmaker Imping Dailisan added 13.
Batang Red Horse remains winless in the elimination round with that loss despite efforts from Bong Papelara who finished with 14 points.
