Chriss Karlou Samoga of team RM Gear emerged as the 2011 The Racing Line Rider of the Year after topping most underbone races held in the region.
Samoga stole the limelight by winning class champion titles in the 4AT Scooter Novice Open, Novice 130cc Open and Novice Open 4-Stroke divisions. He edged Vman Racing’s Roland King Ganotise and Romeo Osigan who settled second and third places, respectively.
Samoga also saw action in National races held in Manila, settling as a finisher in the 2011 Inside Racing Grand Prix, second place in the Motoroc Colt 45 Nationals Open 4 Stroke, Scooter 160cc and third in the Scooter 180cc class.
Ganotise also had promising routes in National races with first place finishes in the Motoroc Colt 45 115cc mod and Open 4 Stroke division.
Samoga’s teammate April King Mascardo shared the limelight by winning the 2011 Rookie of the Year honors topping the Beginners 130cc Open and 4AT 160cc Scooter Beginners divisions on top off Vman Racing’s Joven Millana who settled second place.
Mascardo also made his presence felt by capping the NAMSSSA 2011 Motoroc Most Promising Rider honors.
“I am proud of my boys. Hope we bring the same winning momentum in 2012, said RM Gear and Vman Racing manager Manuel Chien.
Team Vman Racing also cap the 2011 Team Champion honors as awarded by The Racing Line Chief Executive Producer Jonathan Uy.
In Drag Racing, Vman’s Manuel Vincent Sumog-oy bagged the Suzuki Radier Breed Wars 2 title in the Radier J/PRO (stock bore/stroke category) that also earned him the NAMSSSA 2011 Rookie of the Year honors while teammate Jeffrey Anthony Teopengco who wound-up second place in the Raider 150cc (stock bore/stroke category) brought home the NAMSSSA 2011 Rider of the Year title.
“This is not possible without the dedication of our riders, crew and specially our chief mechanic Rico Cagnaan,” Chien added.
Vman Racing’s title bid was backed by Phoenix Cyclomax, Suzuki Philippines, HJC Helmets-JT Triumph, SSS Sprockets, YRS Pipes, Takasago Rims, Rico’s Lab, Jawo Fiberwerx and V-Man Marketing while RM Gear’s reach for title was supported by Honda Philippines, SSS Sprockets, Daredevil Pipes and Racingboy Wheels-Bob Scooter.
